2019 Changes, Future Success and Putting the Customer First

Hello World,

I am honored and excited to have the opportunity to continue as a leader of our company and build upon the original heritage that has made UnidenHosting a dominating player in the web hosting industry.

Having had the opportunity to lead our operations since 2015, many many years ago, along with the opportunity to work alongside a strong team with an extremely supportive, dedicated and very loyal customer base has been a blessing. I want you to be confident that throughout all of the changes that will be presented this year, no matter what, our mission and core values that we set from the beginning, will continue to be the standard in which we will all strive.

UnidenHosting has undergone a remarkable evolution in the past few years as we’ve pursued our vision to become the nation’s leading web hosting provider. But one of the most profound changes over this time has been the richer understanding of—and deeper commitment to—sustainability that has come into focus as we have refined our views of what it means to be a leader.

UnidenHosting has experienced record growth and made significant investments in its people and technology. We’re also expanding our geographic presence this year – allowing us to better provide exceptional compliance services to our growing customer base throughout the globe. These investments and our ongoing commitment to supply chain excellence will enable us to deliver even greater value to our customers.

This legacy of success has as much to do with the dedicated people handling day-to-day operations, in all functions across North America, as it does our customers. We are where we are as a company, because of our outstanding people and their commitment to providing outstanding service to our customers every single day. Our customers can rest easy knowing that the people who truly make UnidenHosting what it is are all still in place and will continue to deliver the exceptional service that they have come to expect.

Built around equally strong commitments to customers and communities, employees, and the environment, UnidenHosting’s leadership vision brings together what we believe are the essential prerequisites for maintaining the long-term health and growth of our company.

What is clearer than ever before, though, is that we cannot achieve success if we choose to pursue these goals independently. Rather, success requires that we consistently work to achieve our goals through integrated initiatives that place a high priority on moving us forward simultaneously on multiple fronts and managing our total impact as a hosting provider.

This balance and integration is the core of our commitment—and it is indispensable to realizing the aspirations reflected in our company vision.

It is also what our customers expect from a leading company in an industry whose actions carry such far-reaching implications for the economy, the environment and the millions of people who rely to conduct their business responsibly.

In fact, sustainability considerations are now among the most influential factors defining the playing field within our industry. Many of the most important opportunities to grow our company lies in solving key challenges—a reality that is making a competitive imperative.

Accordingly, within UnidenHosting today we are increasingly adapting our strategies, our operations and our culture to drive positive results across the globe. But if we have the advantage that much of this territory is not entirely new, we also have the challenge that comes with learning to approach familiar ground in fresh ways.

To build on this foundation we first took it to a new level, in 2015 we took important steps aimed at raising the visibility of our sustainability commitment and better integrating it throughout the business by building our own data center in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

These steps have included several notable “firsts” for UnidenHosting.

Significantly, we appointed UnidenHosting’s first-ever Chief Sustainability Officer, Mark McBragger, a position that reports directly to me. This role as it still is today is responsible for developing and coordinating the company’s sustainability strategy and initiatives and overseeing UnidenHosting’s sustainability reporting and measurement programs.

Also during that time, we had established concrete targets attached to the cornerstones of our vision, and we set a timetable for achieving these goals by the end of 2015.

But that was in 2015, we're now in 2019. Our goals now specify that we will increase serviceability, and hold accountable for performing in the top quartile for customer engagement and return, and the top decile for customer satisfaction and reliability. We believe these objectives provide us a clear line of sight not only to our progress toward our vision but also to our success in creating value that is true to our company, employees and customers.

On a smaller, yet still significant, note, we will be displaying a new change in UnidenHosting website outlook alongside the customer dashboard.

These changes represent some of our continued steps in what has already been an ongoing journey—and we are already seeing important new benefits.

For example, within the detailed business planning now underway to support our 2019 goals, reliability and sustainability considerations are serving as a powerful new driver for collaboration and alignment across the business.

As part of this process, our reliability commitment is helping us to agree on priorities of sustainability, identify important challenges and opportunities, and allocate resources to our initiatives. It is helping us make better informed, strategic decisions. And it is serving to ensure the costs and benefits of our choices are clear and transparent across the various parts of our operations.

Another kind of efforts arising from our commitment and what I mentioned earlier on, is the expansion of our service offerings. This will widely increase the service availability offerings, a decrease in our current pricing structure to outreach our global footprint on our products and services UnidenHosting offers.

Our team is excited about these initiatives and those that we expect will follow in the future, just as we are proud of the many accomplishments outlined from previous years to this year's report.

As you will see for yourself, this year we will continue to make progress toward key goals. We invite you to read more about these and other achievements throughout our new blog system which will be directed mainly toward UnidenHosting life also known as “The Uniden Life”.

Once again, we owe credit to many customers who have helped us achieve these results, either through their direct engagement or through the constructive feedback we rely on them to provide us. I am glad that many of you took the time to tell us your thoughts. Your observations and advice have strengthened this letter, and I greatly appreciate all of your contributions.

This kind of open engagement is a key part of our overall sustainability commitment, and we look forward to continuing to work with a broad and diverse range of customers. This is especially true as we work to address areas in which we know we must continue to do better, such as service compliance.
